Craps Systems

Craps is, and has been for a while, a largely popular casino game; and with this huge popularity comes a need/desire for strategies. In order to help fill this need with some helpful information, we have compiled some of the more popular strategies that we have been able to locate. When uses correctly and as a long-term game plan, these strategies will help to improve your Craps skills as well as knowledge of the game.

The first system that we would like to offer is called Hedge Betting. This system involves placing bets that almost fully cancels out each other; using this system properly will allow for a small win from pretty much all of the possible roll outcomes. Another great benefit of this system is the substantially lower risk that is involved with this system, you will be able to play a lot longer on the same amount of money you would normally play with - and you can apply this system to any bet.

The next system that we have researched is called Anything But Seven. As the name implies, the point of this system is to win on “Anything But Seven”. To do this, after the shooter establishes point, place two chips on 5, 6 and 8 and one chip on “Field”. We do, however, suggest that you clear this bet after three rolls because of the higher risk involved with a bet of this size.

Another great system is called the 5 Count system. This system helps you to better choose a “hot” shooter to bet on and weed out the “cold” shooters. When a new shooter is throwing the Come Out Roll, you begin to “count” their throws. This means that if/when they establish point (by throwing a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10), that is Count 1. Counts 2, 3 and 4 are the next three throws, no matter what the result of those throws. The only way for a shooter to reach Count 5 is if he/she throws point again. If your shooter reaches Count 5, then that shooter is considered “hot” and you can start betting with that shooter. If your shooter does not reach Count 5, then it’s a good idea to wait for and “count” the next shooter.

The final system that we would like to suggest is called Progressive Betting. This is defiantly one of the easiest systems to learn and to use. The first thing that you do is place your initial bet (this will work with any bet that you choose). Then, every time your bet wins, you raise your bet by the original amount of your bet. Every time your bet loses, just decrease your current bet by the original bet. Continue doing this until you are ready to leave the game and betting this way, every time you win, you win more; but when you lose you don’t lose as much as you would using other systems.
